Sean Nichols
Dr. Sean Nichols loves the dental practice he has helped to build here in Derry, NH. A dental office that is family oriented, supportive of the community, and available to everyone. He enjoys coming to an office where the atmosphere is fun, compassionate, and caring.
Dr. Nichols holds a degree from Providence College and Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He is a 30 year Board of Director of the Derry Boys and Girls Club of Greater Derry and is involved with several community charitable endeavors.
He enjoys all aspects of family dentistry and cherishes the long term relationships he has developed with his patients and their families. He takes pride in his staff and believes they are largely the reason for the tremendous success the practice has seen over his 33years.
He is also a partner of North East Mobile Dental Services, a group of dentists and allied health professionals allied in dental care to elderly in long term care facilities throughout the state. He participates each year in dental service trips with Remote Area Medical providing dental care to underserved and impoverished communities throughout the country.
He enjoys skiing, golfing, cooking, and traveling with his wife Donna and his three adult children Brendan, Kyle, and Alyssa and their spouses.

John Patrick Ahern
Dr. John Patrick Ahern was born in Essex Junction, VT, and raised in Marlboro, Mass. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Anselm College in 1980, where he met and forged a friendship with the future Dr. Donald G. Hersey.
In 1984, Dr. Ahern graduated from Georgetown University School of Dental Medicine in Washington, D.C. He joined Dr. John J. Ahern and Dr. Sean E. Nichols as a partner in their Derry, NH practice in 1989.
Dr. Ahern was instrumental in the development of the Greater Derry Oral Health Collaborative School Based Dental Program and remains active today as an advisor and a provider. He also serves in an advisory capacity to the Dental Component of the Community Health Service, helping adults in need of low-cost dental care.
Dr. Ahern is a member of the International College of Dentist and the American Dental Association. He is active in the leadership of the New Hampshire Dental Society and is a member of the Granite State Study Club. He is CEREC Certified and completed certification in implant restorations through the 3i Corporation
Dr. Ahern and his wife, Kelly make their home in Londonderry, NH and are the parents of three adult sons Gregory, Brian and Martin.

Donald Hersey
Dr. Donald Hersey hails from Danvers, Massachusetts and Bucksport, Maine. He received his bachelor’s degree from St. Anselm College in 1981. Dr. Hersey graduated from Georgetown University School of Dental Medicine in 1985. Before moving to New Hampshire in 1983, Dr. Hersey practiced at the Total Dental Group in Waterford, Conneticut. While in Connecticut, Dr. Hersey received extensive training in the restoration of dental implants. In 2003, he earned his Invisalign certification, and recently reached Invisalign’s Premier-Provider level. He is also CAD/CAM Technology certified.
Dr. Hersey is a member of the American Dental Association and the New Hampshire Dental Society. He volunteers with the Alexander Eastman Foundation School Dental Program and the Community Health Service and is an active member of the Derry Rotary Club.
Dr. Hersey has four children; Megan, Erin, Sarah and Matthew. His spare time is spent playing golf wherever and whenever he can. Dr. Hersey is also a long standing member of Nashua Country Club.

Stephen Butterfield
Dr. Stephen Butterfield was raised in Derry, NH and graduated from Pinkerton Academy. He attended St. Anselm College where he graduated with distinction, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in biology. He received his dental education from the University of Connecticut’s School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2004.
While in dental school Dr. Butterfield lead a dental mission trip to the Amazon River Basin in Peru. Following dental school, he completed a one year general practice residency at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. Prior to joining the office Dr. Butterfield practiced in Bedford, NH.
Dr. Butterfield is excited about giving back to the community he grew up in. His dental knowledge covers all aspects of general dentistry for the entire family.
He enjoys hiking, mountain biking and spending time with his wife Gloria and son Benjamin.

Kyle Prohovich
Dr. Kyle Prohovich was raised in Weston, Massachusetts and attended Boston College on a baseball scholarship. While at BC, he served as Captain of the baseball team, was awarded four consecutive years of ACC Academic Honor roll, the Athletic Director’s Award for Academic Achievement and the Sonny Nictakis Award for exemplary leadership. He completed his dental education at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Following dental school, Dr. Prohovich and his wife Sarah relocated to southern New Hampshire to begin his career and start their family. He has been practicing since 2018 and his dental knowledge covers all aspects of General, Cosmetic, Invisalign, Implant and Digital dentistry. Dr. Prohovich loves what he does, especially forging interpersonal relationships with his patients.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, New Hampshire Dental Society, Greater Nashua Dental Society, and Massachusetts Dental Society. He also dedicates significant time to providing dental care to patients at the Greater Nashua Dental Connection, a nonprofit clinic committed to improving the health of the underserved populations of New Hampshire.
Dr. Prohovich and his wife enjoy an active lifestyle, whether it is skiing in the winter, hiking in autumn or tasting the newest fare from the local brewery, they appreciate all that New Hampshire has to offer. Dr. Prohovich is excited about giving back to the community he now calls home.
Dr. Prohovich lives in Windham, New Hampshire with his wife Sarah and daughter Teagan.

Brian J. Ahern
Dr. Brian Ahern was raised in Londonderry, NH and graduated from Bishop Guertin High School. He attended Saint Michael’s College where he graduated with distinction, Cum Laude, with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. Upon graduation, Brian worked in medical software while attending post-baccalaureate courses through the Harvard University Extension School. He received his dental education from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, ME.
While attending dental school Dr. Ahern was nominated by faculty and selected to be a Teaching Assistant for First- & Second-year students in the simulation clinic aiding in the development of hand skills and critical thinking. Dr. Ahern graduated from his program with a distinction in public health.
Dr. Ahern welcomes the opportunity to provide exceptional care to the community he was raised in. His education, training, and skillset are focused on all aspects of general dentistry for children and adults.
Dr. Ahern resides in his hometown with his wife Micho and their daughter Charlotte. The Aherns enjoy hiking, cooking, skiing, and spending time with friends and family.
